Silver Surfer : In Thy Name

A new 4 issues mini-series to debut in november 2007 with a Gabriele Dell'Otto cover (as well as a Michael Turner cover) :

One cover only or the whole series for Gab?

Wow, both of those covers are amazing, which really says something considering how much I HATE Turner's work. Nice work, Gabriele!

I think what most artist miss, like Turner, all he has done is draw a sculpted, low fat, body. The Sufter is an etheral created being that should have some flow and shine to him. The original art by Buscema conveyed this, but it is missing by Turner. Dell'Otto caputres it. Ribic catches that magic as well.

    I see what you mean...
...but I'm still a huge fan of Michael Turner's Silver Surfer. Definitely one of his better recent covers.

I think that this might be Turner's best cover ever--not that its is saying a lot.

That would be one awesome poster! Very nice work, Dell'Otto.

I do enjoy Michael Turner's work, but I think his Silver Surfer is too 'edgy'. The surface should flow smoothly, but there's lots of edges here, and the muscles....well, I'll just leave it at that.

Has the Silver Surfer taken to many steroids in that picture for your taste or something?

LOL! If he were prone to drug addiction I might say yes, but we all know he'd never do anything like that.

I just meant that I don't think he's ever been portrayed as 'ripped' before, so the pic just doesn't seem to suit the character, although the quality of work in general is typical Michael Turner, which I have absolutely not problem with.
