Its not that she changed the roster. I go off on a mini rant about Doug's death here. I really don't know if it adds anything.

Additionally, I've read about a year of her stories on NM and she's established most of the team she'll have until Boomer and Rictor show up, and she just doesn't seem to use any of the characters other than Illyana. There was an issue that looked like it was going to focus on cannon ball and I think Magik got just as much face time and dialog as he did. And she spent 3/4 of the issue moping in the living room of the mansion.

I liked her stuff. Of course I was a bit younger. Alot of times I try NOT to go back and check. For instance I really liked the DeFalco/Frenz Thor but I know it was pretty much universally hated. I sorta don't wanna find out I was wrong. I enjoyed it as a youngster so I'm just gonna leave it there.

To me, there have been only 3 good Thor runs. Kirby, Simonson, & Defalco. I'd completley skip JMS' run if not for the art.

true! blevins was a fantastic artist. very stylized and kinetic feel to his work.

hell yeah--that thor run was the first thor run i read. it was good times.

back to the main topic of the thread--louise wasn't an outstanding x-writer by any means, but i enjoyed the work she did. it got spotty there at the end with liefeld because they didn't work well together. but i definitely think her x-factor was better than her new mutants.

I want to defend Weezie, but I realised I dropped most comics when she starts to write them. She's a nice lady & I loved Power Pack, but most of her writing wasn't for me.
