Louise Simonson is a worse X-Writer than Chuck Austin

I've been reading old New Mutant issues and pretty much read the 50+ issues that Claremont did in a week and am now doing an issue of the god awful Louise Simonson issues a day. She obviously didn't care about the characters and didn't know how to use them. She sent Magma away so she didn't have to deal with her, and killed Doug because she couldn't come up with a way to use him. Bird Brain's story arc is 10 times worse than Draco and Gossamer and Spyder are cardboard in speech and development. If it wasn't for Blevins art, this series would be completely unreadable. I honestly don't think Liefeld's are later in the series is as bad as her writing at this point.

I don't know, he has a unique style and actually makes Illyana look russian. He's not the best, because occasionally the women look like men, but I like his style. He does make things creepy and menacing.

the characters seemed a little too...stretched for my taste. elongated bodies and faces, etc. although i did like how he drew the inferno demons.

Warren worthington III as Archangel was one of the worst characters of the 90's. Cable didn't really get to be an interesting character until Niceza took him over. Death of Superman was an money making ploy more than a story. It was all Punch punch punch until it was punch punch death. Other than Age of Apocalypse, what's a good A story?

Haven't read Power Pack, so I have no opinion.

Blevins was the second best regular artist ever on that book. After Sienkiewicz.
