I think it was just the games way of saying... Go North! while still giving the illusion that it's supposed to be a non-linear game...
Alright, it's been a while since I played this game. However, something always bugged me. Early in the first disk, when you're first forming your team, you jump off the train and have to go North. But if you keep going South instead, you encounted a big, open, glowly door, out of which guards keep pouring out for hours on end, and you can either keep fighting them or turn and leave. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? What was up with the door? Would I have gotten a prize? Was it just one of their 'unfinished' features of the game?
I need to know or my brain might just eat itself.

If you keep fighting it rewards you with infinite experience and gil![]()
The mako reactor's to the north, so why would you wanna go south?
You're just insane.

I remember reading online a fake code saying that if you go south, you'll find it, and eventually you can unlock Zack. I knew it was bullshit, but needed to disprove it by eventually coming to a wall or something. Lo and behold, I find the glowy door with all the guards, and I'm completely taken aback.
Oh, and you guys are all soooooo hilarious.![]()
One summer I got really bored and kept doing that until I hit level 99.
