Wow, I heard '8 Heads In A Duffle Bag' was awful, but damn..
I had never seen the Joe Pesci "comedy" called 8 Heads In A Duffle Bag when it came out because it was universally panned.
It was on cable the other night, and I had nothing else better to do and watched it thinking it couldn't be that bad...dear god I was wrong.
That was one of the most unfunny comedies I have ever seen. Joe Pesci pretty much mails in his performance, and George Hamilton and Dyan Cannon overact to the point of being nauseating. In fact most of the cast overacts. Even David Spade can't pull off one funny line, at all.
Not only was it not funny in the least, it was overtly racist to boot. It inferred Mexicans as stupid people, thieves or swindlers. Un-fucking-believable.

I've found, between my friends and I, that Joe Pesci is one of those actors who you either "get" or you don't "get."
I don't "get" him.

Why did Joe Pesci stop being in movies, anyway? I mean, he really was doing great at one point, as evidenced by this May 1992 Tom Hanks SNL monologue!
It is really special to be here, in fact, when the show was first announced, a certain fine actor by the name of Joe Pesci was going to be here. Unfortunately, his movie is running a little late, so they gave me a call. It was the last minute, I was free, so, bang, here I am! But, you know, what a finale to a great year this would have been for Mr. Joe Pesci. Now, first he wins an Academy Award for his role in "Goodfellas", then he's in a very popular movie called "My Cousin Vinny" - that was very fun for him. Later this month, Mr. Pesci will be seen in a little movie called "Lethal Weapon 3", and right now, this very minute, he's working with none other than Macauley Culkin in "Home Alone 2". Wow! Tonight, I can only promise to do my best to fill Mr. Joe Pesci's very large shoes. So, stick around!

Yes. Supposedly he was one of the 'Four Seasons' but was kicked out, or quit before they hit it big and he's decided to concentrate on the music career he wishes he'd had before
