not all habaneros are created equal, some are just way hotter than others. could be the batch, could be the area they were grown in.
Scotch bonnet peppers are supposed to be really hot.

Well, next time I'm at the store, I'll get some more and hope its a hotter batch.
Well, they do range from 100-300 scoville units. So you might have gotten the mild ones. You can get sauces that are much, much hotter.
