No one is EVER breaking Cy Young's win record. EVER.
Ryan's 5714 K's
Cobb's 367 career average
Vader Meer's consecutive no hitters
Ripkens 2632 consecutive games played
Dimaggios 56 game hit streak
Which is least likely to be broken?
Just considering more modern or actually possible records, as there are many (like 48 complete games in one season) set it the dead era will never be broken.
I personally think its gotta be Ryan's strikeouts. No one active is even close. The second and third are Clemens and Johnson, both ready to retire, and I think each is still over a 1,000 away. Nolan was just a marvel with the ball.
Although Vander Meer's unbelievable record is probably impossible. No pitcher can throw three consecutive no hitters to break that.
As Keith Olbermann pointed out, to break Johnny Vander Meer's record, someone would have to throw three consecutive no-hitters.

Not a choice in the poll, but I don't think anyone will hit .400- the last was Ted Williams w/ a .406 batting average.
Won't happen again.
