80's back?

I went to an electro concert on wednesday. It was a mix of old school 80's rap/synthesizer/beats for the first band (Omnikrom) and 80's pop mixed with a more dance sound (Numero#) both french but worth a listen if you can find. I was surrounded by people in skinnies and cons, their hairstyles varied so much but they were all crazy looking like. It reminded me of the 80's being there. People were doing coke in the washrooms/terrasse... anywhere really.

I was talking about fashion with my buddy this morning (breakfast in Montreal is a big thing for me on sundays), and I told him about how much I am enjoying this new trend of music/fashion/lifestyle. Everyone is getting fucked up around you and coke has become the new black.

How is it for you guys down in the States? I'm curious especially about the NYC people. Are you guys seeing this whole 80's trend coming back? It would be awesome if it did, minus the coke though... that stuff is nasty.
