    Re: Absolute The Long Halloween

Wow, I was literally just about to post on this since I just got mine in the mail today...

I just got my Long Halloween in the mail, and boy oh boy is it gorgeous. Besides the beautiful printing job (same type of thick paper we saw on Watchmen, and the great smell that comes with it), there's an introduction/conversation with Christopher Nolan and David Goyer about the impact TLH had on their films, gallery and prototype sketches for the action figures, a really good interview with Loeb and Sale conducted by Richard Starkings, the full pitch for the Long Halloween, and commentary by Loeb and Sale on the covers for the series. There's also 4 pages that we'd previously only seen the pencils of in the trade, which are now inked and coloured and inserted back into the story, and the Falcone Empire hierarchy has also been coloured.

This is not only one of my favourite Batman stories of all time, but also one of my favourite comics of all time, so I'm really happy with this edition, especially since I missed out on the first HC way back when. It's also interesting to note that there's very little mention of Dark Victory here, so I can only imagine (hope) that means it will get an Absolute at some point down the line, as well.

I picked it up. But then I put it back down because it was so expensive and darn heavy as well.

It wouldn't happen to have Dark Victory in it as well would it?

I already have Long Halloween in paperback.

No, and there's a reason why. But I won't give that away for free.
