Weinstein to re-release Grindhouse as two separate movies?

    http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.co...th-grindhouse/

Harvey Weinstein told me this morning that he's "incredibly disappointed" with the half-than-expected $12 mil box office for Grindhouse. So much so, that he's considering abandoning the double feature as a single feature concept and re-releasing the movie "in a couple of weeks" as two separate feature-length movies with additional footage put in.

I hate to say it, but it isn't a bad idea. Both movies could stand on their own just fine and some people just want to go to a movie for an hour and a half...

GRINDHOUSE Re-release "in a couple of weeks"?

EXCLUSIVE: Harvey Very Disappointed; May Re-Release 'Grindhouse' As 2 Pics

Hmm...well at least we won't have to wait for the DVD double-dip to see the extra scenes if this happens.

I'd pay to see the director's cut of DEATH PROOF on its own.

Oh man, I feel for anyone who didn't get to see the double feature then if this happens. Thats the only way to see it!

now that I've thought about it for a minute, I think they are talking about separating the features into two, but only to freak people out enough to go see it right away instead of waiting.

    because why wait 2 weeks???

Hmmm, I think there's probably something to that....

How very diabolical of you Taki. You'd make a good Weinstein brother.

-and yeah, how did people not go to this movie this weekend in bigger numbers? It's as much fun as you can have at a theater with your pants on!!
