    Stephen King's: IT

I remember watching the made-for-tv movie when it was on in the early 90s. I loved it back then and have watched it a few times since then. I always said to myself, "I need to read that book.". So, after watching it on tv last week, I decided to read the book.

It's so boring!!! I can't get into it. I'm at about page 50 or so and it's like watching paint dry. Does it get any better? Should I keep on reading?

I found out through Wikipedia that The Sci-fi channel is re-making it into a 4 hour movie. That's awesome! I can't wait!

It picks up, but I can't say the final read is worth it other than to say you finished it.

It gets a LOT better.. one of the best books, but like all 900+ books it usually takes a while to set things up

I enjoyed the book a great deal. We had a lengthy thread on this book recently. It's subject is a major spoiler though, so you may want to save it for later.

The first 3/4 of the book is amazing and scared the piss out of me when I read it in college. The ending, however, as with many King books, wasn't so good and kind of disappointing.

That would be a good topic for a new thread. What King book had the best ending?

And yet, Cell isn't close to the worst.
