This is the book that won the vote.

I only just made the thread because I was too busy today to get on the board, I havn't read my comics yet either. Bit of a shock to find a 400+ post sticky for the book already, had no idea this would be such a big event

It's very hard for me to seperate my feelings on the story from my grade for the book. That being said, this is a great Ed Brubaker Cap issue. His characterization of all the main characters is spot-on. Exploring what Cap means to Sharon, Bucky, and Falcon is a great framing device. The last part of the book feels like an editorially mandated fiat. However, it's done with Brubaker's classic flair, and the stark, detailed Epting art is perfect. 9/10. Wish I could give it lower, because I'm genuinely ticked off. But it was a damn good book.

Um, are you talking about the Sharon Carter stuff? Because that's just weird considering how long Bru's been setting that up. I think he obviously had SOMETHING planned for her and the culprits of the murder, he just tied everything together with the killing.

Shouldn't have said the last part. I meant the murder itself. It just seems off to me, although I do love how, if it wasn't Bru's idea completely, it fit perfectly with things he had set up.
