Tim Minear's DRIVE gets Acker, timeslot

Amy Acker is the newest addition to the cast of DRIVE as Kathryn, the missing wife of Alex Tully (Nathan Fillion).

DRIVE will premiere on Sunday April 15th and then move into its regular Monday 8:00pm timeslot on April 16th. Getting paired up with 24 once PRISON BREAK finishes sure does look a lot better than the rumors of it taking THE O.C.'s Thursday 9:00 timeslot.

I liked it the first time I saw it when it was called "Cannonball Run".

But not as much the second time I saw it, when it was called "Cannonball Run 2".

Amy Acker and Nathan Fillion? I'm there.

And since it's a Tim Minear series, I'll be sure to pick up the complete series DVDs of all 13 episodes once it's cancelled.

Read Aoi Sayonara; Thursdays at Gray Haven Comics

I think that this is one of those shows that's going to be far better than the premise would have one believe.

I'm really excited for this show.... Nathan, Amy and Tim, recipe for goodness.
Mung Daal: We gotta get rid of this gum before Truffles sees it.
    Shnitzel: Radda radda radda radda?
Mung Daal: No, we can't chuck him in the furnace.
Delirium: Have you ever spent days and days and days making up flavours of ice cream that no one's ever eaten before? Like chicken and telephone ice cream?.... Green mouse ice cream was the worst. I didn't like that at all.
