Long time reader, first time poster. My local comic shop was sold out by the time I got there. I hope this translates into the sales for you David, you deserve it. But thankfully I live in a big city, and after looking pretty hard all over the place, I was able to score a copy with the Allred cover. It was like a Kabuki treasure hunt, if you will. I love how you melded all the previous art styles and motifs into this issue. The concepts were so strange and wonderful that I kept pausing to think about each one. Once again you have shown you have quite the knack for the grand finale! There were quite a few humourous moments as well : " The Unstable Molecules" band ( when do tickets go on sale? ) , Mr Mack so coyly dodging the interveiwer's questions, Akemi the male Mailman, and printing the Artistic License in the back of the book. A fantastic ending to a very inspirational series. Very well rounded. 10 out of 10.

Glad you dig it.
I should mention ( I don't remember if I mentioned this when the issue #9 hit stores) that the issue originally had a different ending. It had an extra little scene at the end. Fully painted lettered, all finished. But there was so much stuff in this issue to absorb, as you mention in your post here, that I felt the scene at the end overwhelmed that a bit, and I didn't think it worked in the individual issue. Because it gives you quite an extra twist to think about as well.

But I think that last scene works as a whole with all the stories together, so I plan to put it back in the story when it is collected in the new hardcover.
