I'm a fan of many of the authors on your list, but have read none of the books you mentioned. Recently (within the last year) I read Beautiful Losers by Leonard Cohen. It is not exactly a book of poetry, but it might as well be. It is narrative in form, but loosely, sort of like Kabuki you might say. I am a gushing fan of LC in general.

If you happen to read this post, I would like to take a recommendation from you on any book you think I ought to read. I have finished most of the books I have been meaning to get to, so will start looking around again soon.

P.S.--If I might make a recommendation in comics, I highly recommend Muth's re-release of "M" in graphic novel form, a retelling of the Fritz Lang film from the early 1930's. It is so gorgeous it is hard to believe. A reminder that I have much to learn.
