View Full Version : Do I Seem More Hostile Lately To You?

I was just wondering, because somebody I was speaking to last night says that I've become a little spikier in recent weeks, a little more likely to tell somebody to fuck off than I used to. I was wondering if that's what I seem like here.

you're in one of 'those' cycles you are prone to.

I don't think I am. there's no self-loathing undercurrent to my current state of mind, which I will happily admit there was before. Now I just don't see why I should keep my mouth shout about the infuriating idocy I see around me. My crippling sense of British decorum is failing me.

A little, yeah. It hasn't gotten to a genuinely troubling point yet, but it's noticeable.

That's all I was looking for, a simple "yes" or "no" answer.

I don't really care either way if I do seem that way, to be honest. I don't think I've done anything I should have to apologise for, either here or in the "Real World," such as it is. I just think I'm becoming more assertive and less of a pushover.

You go through hostile/jackass modes that are separate from the self-loathing modes or you just do both at the same time.

Not that everybody doesn't do that at some point. You just carry it to the extreme.

It's possible, yeah. But I'd like this not to be a phase. I'd like to stay at this particular level of hostility forever.

Honestly? I don't really see that much of a difference. I've always thought you were a bit...what did you call it...spikey. When you did your Greatest Man rebop, when you were on your alcohol fueled depression and self loathing jags, and now with the Liam phase, it all seems like the same thing just dressed up in different costumes.

I used to go to the trouble of presenting myself as a much nicer guy though, even when i didn't really feel like it. I read some of the posts i made back in the day and I just make myself want to puke, in all honesty.

Isn't this "change" about improving yourself. how is embracing unwarranted hostility for just because you can doing that?

I don't think I'm ever "unwarrantedly" hostile, but that's just me.]

And I am making lots of improvements to myself already, both physically and emotionally. I'm finding out who I really am, and I'm enjoying it.

I think you're showing a lot more backbone on the internet, Technofear. This is a brand new you, kicking ass and taking names in a forum where it doesn't really matter. Hostile? No. You act in your own self interest at all times and don't give a damn who knows it.

Not really. People just seem to easily mistake asking others if there's be some kind of change in them to be some search for validation.
