Yet how many different times have we seen a brand new costume for a character that sucks 43 shades of dick?

I don't think there's anything inherently bad about the Superman costume. The negative stigma comes almost completely from the fact that it is a redesign of the Superman costume.

See, the thing about the Azbats costume is that if you think of it as a redesigned Batman costume, it's horrid. But if you think about it as the creation of a mentally ill villain corrupting Batman as he sinks deeper and deeper into his own psychosis, it's actually pretty awesome.

I really didn't think it was that much of a leap from the original costume. And if we're talking about the '90s "EXTREME" look, then I have to say that the Scarlet Spider costume is a bit more guilty of that. I always liked Ben Reilly's variation of it, especially in Spider-Girl.

I thought Leinil's were pretty decent with the shared X on everyone's chest and stuff... it was Adam Kubert's in Uncanny at that time that sucked. He came up with the Beast, Psylocke, Cable & Storm in that pic...

Gotcha. Yeah, what the hell is up with Beast having a jetpack? How about Storm needing wrist braclet/armor. Damn it, Adam. You're amazing as a penciler, but stay away from the world of fashion design.

Also, Yu's stuff is still somewhat mortifying. Why does Kurt and Peter need shoulder armor, or the claws on Kitty? The costumes just seem too busy.

I had never seen that Daredevil design, but I dont think its all that bad. Id lose the shoulder pads certainly though.

It certainly looks a bit mroe stealthier and urban, which I could see coming in handy for the guy.

That Nightwing one got my vote for the worst though by the way.
