Just wondering if there are any plans to address Carol's Kree origins in upcoming issue of Ms. Marvel and/or if this is an area of Carol's history that fans would like to see explored further?

Personally, I'd love to see all the Earth-bound characters with Kree origins/genes meet up somehow.... Carol, Noh-Varr, Hulkling, Ultra Girl, Rogue... maybe with Una-Rogg as a new villainess in Carol's life!

The rumored return of Mar-Vell could be a great catalyst for this!

I'd also love to see Carol take custody of Hulkling post-Civil War. Could make for great dramatic tension in her life to raise the son of Mar-Vell and someone who openly opposed the SRA.

Thoughts?

The next year of stories are all pretty Earth bound and aside from the potential return of the Brood (for a proper invasion), I don't have much in the way of alien races on my radar at the moment. We'd talked about getting out into space again, but didn't feel like we were ready for that leap just yet.

I want to get into the Kree stuff eventually, but with Annihilation going on, the whole Kree gang is sort of busy trying not to die and I don't want to distract them.

Yay. I hate the space stories. They are so hard to relate to for anything other than a jaunt. Write what you know, Reed. And that's 5'10" blonde bombshell superhero women who are being the best they can be.

With a filthy passion. And the Starjammers, too, I have to admit. Brian can explain the backstory. My hands are hurty.

Civil War panel.

Some woman in audience: "Are the X-Men going to come back to Earth for the Civil War, or are they still off doing that Shi'ar shit?"

"That Shi'ar shit" became our catchphrase in the following days.

Well, that and trying to talk like Brock Samson as we said "Why do they call it a glory hole? It's more like.... a Gary hole." Which we thought we heeeelarious at the time, I tell you what.

Figures, while I'm writing my version, Brian's writing his.

Okay, we were at Comicon in San Diego, and Brian was on some panel about Civil War or something, I think, and it was Q&A time, and some VERY ANGRY woman got up to the mike asking about what the rest of the x-men were doing about the Civil War. I think someone mentioned that Ed had them pretty occupied, and she said "So, they're just gonna stay in space, they're gonna do that Shi'ar...shit."

I was just amused at how angry she was--amused enough to write the quote down for posterity. Her and the woman who said "I'm kinda pissed off at She Hulk right now." Like she's just not going to return She Hulk's calls for a while, because she's finally just crossed a line with her.

I forgot her. I liked her. I liked them all. Anybody who can get that into their entertainment entertains me.

We got a good way into the musical version, didn't we? "Glory!" it was called, or something like that.

I know we had a pretty good outline for the plot. We'd essentially cooked up the gay porn equivalent to ROCKY by the time we were done.

As to WHY... I do not know.

I'd love to see more the events her Publicists pushes her into to up carols Q rating. Get her on letterman... And Conan, or deliver an MTY Movie award... And celebrity charity golf events! Team her up with Paris Hilton or some one equally vapid to denouce didactically modern America... It hasn't been the same since Sinatra passed on.

I recall us singing.

Was it the Rocky theme song? I've been known to scream it during the act.

Darn... I always miss the good panels!!!

Brian... any chance you, Aaron and/or Rosemann might be at WonderCon in SF in March? A Ms. Marvel panel would rock!

Ryan
... who'll buy a round of drinks for any of you who make it. :)

Nope. I won't be making Wonder Con this year. I will be at Emerald City, and I'll probably be at San Diego. I might do Chicago if the stars align, but that's a big might.
