View Full Version : For Marvels next big crossover, how 'bout some bad guys?

We've seen the good guys find each other and themselves in Disassembled, House of M, Civil War, and apparently this upcoming Hulk War thing. I've enjoyed most of these stories, but I must admit that I think a good ol' fashion heroes vs. villains crossover is due. Lest we not forget:

- Abomination
- Apocalypse (a good Apocalypse story... the cartoon did it)
- Baron Zemo
- Carnage (stop whining fanboy, he can be brought back and used only as a living weapon, controlled by someone else with "depth")
- Doctor Doom
- Doctor Octopus
- Galactus
- Hellfire Club (a real one)
- Norman Osborn
- Juggernaut (as a bad guy again. White Queen I'll buy as a struggling good guy, not Juggernaut)
- Loki
- Magneto
- Mephisto
- Mister Sinister ( 3...2....1. BITCH! NOW! "no depth, no character, wah!")
- Mysterio (with some resources he could really eff up the country)
- Sabretooth (is a he a "good guy" now? if so thats dumb. there already is a wolverine-like character in the Marvel U. wolverine)
- Skrulls, or Superskrulls... sumphin'
- Stryfe (heh heh)
- Thanos
- Ultron
- Venom
- Winter Soldier (Doom recruits him)

I'm talking a big world threat that involves everyone somehow, not just talking about it for five issues then some magic fix in issue six.
In short, MINDLESS ACTION!!!! The pretentious fanboys' worst nightmare!

I think Annihilation kind of covers this base.

I think after Civil War Marvel should lay off the crossovers for a while. Of course, we're getting Hulk War. Okay then. After World War Hulk or whatever, they should lay off the crossovers for a bit.

I was thinking that, but that seems like it's kinda "cosmic/space" only. Unless it's going to progress.

I'd just as soon have a break from crossovers for a year or so.

That said - some kind of villain war that spills over into the world at large could be pretty interesting.

I agree. A small break, then a big World War between heroes and villains.

Like Infinite Crisis, except better.

Joe Q. said that World War Hulk, though as huge and important an event as Civil War, will atleast not be in as big in the sense that there will be a bajillion tie-ins that'll fuck up the flow of every other marvel comics.

And perhaps get some legislation through stopping Behemoth-Sized Crossovers from happening until the next election?

Lots of heroes VS lots of bad guys.

That would be really easy to do exceptionally well.

It could also contain the inevitable reconciliation between Captain America, and Iron Man.

And Scarlet Witch could come back and help, plus Hulk and Thor.

Thunderbolts and the future titles: "New Thunderbolts" and "Mighty Thunderbolts"...

Why don't we let writers work within their own titles instead of writing everybody else's or having to write to a companywide editorial scheme? Drop crossovers for a while.

It can't surpass the Doom storyline in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I wouldn't mind seeing an updated/better version of Acts of Vengeance.

My game playing is about a year and a half behind the present, so I'll get back to you the summer after next. You should probably subscribe to this thread now, or PM me your address just in case.
