i grew up in a small town and there were a few times when my folks got mail with only their name and town... no other address... it was like fuckin' mayberry i swear.

I remember reading something when I was a kid that you could put anything in the mail as long as it was all together. There was an article somewhere about weird things that went through the mail that were not in boxes. Like a tire, a teddy bear, boot, etc. It was really funny, and if you had the address and the right postage, it would get there.
