This story was in regards to polar bears being declared threatened, which the final decision has not been made.

Dale Hall, Director U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, "Global warming caused a reduction in their (polar bear) habitat, and the reduction in ice is the reason we propose it be listed as a threatened species."

This piece shows journalism at its best.

Tom Costello opens the piece regarding polar bears and global warming saying, "Now the administration is taking the first step calling them threatened and in fact the administration blames it all on global warming."

However, he then closes saying, "The administration is convinced the oil and gas industry in the arctic is not in any way involved in the polar bear problem as for global warming it specifically did not study that particular issue."

WHAT???

I know this is an issue close to your heart. Just curious your thoughts and what things we can do to help the situation.

Well, is "THE ADMINISTRATION" blaming it entirely on global warming or was global warming not looked at as a specific cause, he said both so I'm a little confused.

Pretty much. That is a mess of a statement. I think what they are trying to say is that global warming is changing the environment of the polar bear but there is no evidence that oil and gas are the reason for the change. Maybe.
