This is actually an educational thread for me, as, other than this new volume and, for my sins, the Heroes Reborn volume, I've never actually been that into Iron Man, and I was wondering who everybody thought brought the most to the table with this character, artistically speaking.

Geez, that's a tough one. At the risk of adding to my other comments and sounding like a royal ass kisser, Granov is definitely up there. As I've said, there are some real asthetic reasons for liking his stuff, that go beyond just the comic book artist.
John Romita Jr's run on Iron Man is probably the time I've enjoyed him the most, as it were. Perhaps because, at the time, the armor was pretty blocky, and he's a blocky kinda guy. The less a character's face is seen, the better, when it comes to JRjr. :p
I couldn't name everyone. Lots of good stuff through the eighties, and the nineties.

Ultimate Iron Man by Bryan Hitch, and I agree on JRjr.
