Seriously, Alex. Great job on the art in the issue this week. Really different for you, and really graceful and sketchy all at once. I really liked it.

If THAT was what "cheescake" or porn looked like in comics, you'd never hear another complaint from me again. Wanda looks sensual, sexy and gorgeous (even to me).

You should see the pages before print Ed. Thanks.

I had to drop a post here to say the artwork here was amazing and to quote IGN.
"If this issue doesn't get you pumped for the new Spider-Woman series, I don't know what will."
One bit I loved was when Wanda introduces herself for the first time the picture was well stunning to say the least. Good job all around in my view!

I've seen one. ;) It was called "The Kiss" right? Taking inspiration from fine art..what are you trying to do to 95% of the comic reading world? They likely think Klimt is a dirty word. lol

But you always say that. They'll look good in the trade.

Yeah, I know a lot of people who would, for a high quality screen print, or even a poster like the ones Sean did on Cafepress.com. Those are nice quality, I was surprised to see when I got mine in the mail.

I got a CRIMINAL t-shirt and a small poster and I was really surprised by the high quality of the poster, especially for the price. I've dealt with Cafepress before and sometimes their stuff is only so-so, but the print job on the poster is very nice and the quality of the gloss stock is good, too.

Yeah, the print quality on the one book I have from them is just okay. Not bad, but the poster I got was nice. I actually decided to hold off on putting it up until I can get it framed now.

Alex, could you and Brian just become gay lovers and do books together forever?
If the two of you being together is wrong, I just don't want it to be right!?

Just the same what I thought. I must confess that I not even realised it was a Maleevbook at first.
Mister Maleev :I love your books, but I think this one was really special.
Maybe I think, because in this issue the art tells the story more than the words.
If there were a voting, I would vote this book, as my favourite book of 2006.
But who knows, I have'nt received my books of this week :p

I reviewed the book over in the Bendis Board Review thread, but just wanted to say I completely agree with all the praise you are receiving on this issue. Gorgeous work from start to finish. You are a unique voice in the comic industry, love the high art approach you bring to comics.
