Is there any one person who you can 100% trust when they say a movie or a band is good? I don't think it's possible. I was in the video store the other day with my pals, who I know are intelligent people, and I couldn't believe some of the flicks they liked/didn't like. What's up with people having really bad taste?

Everyone in the world has awful and inconsistent taste in movies, film and television except for me. That's why I greet all suggestions with scorn and skepticism.

My brother. The only band that I hate that he loves is Metallica (their new stuff).

My best pal Hepzibah is right about what I'll enjoy 98% of the time so far. That's pretty darned incredible. My sweetie Machas Rook usually knows a good thing to show me when she sees it too. Cth isn't bad at it either.

I would say that there are certain people whose opinion is frequently in accord with mine, and on whose recommendation I would cheerfully act, but 100% trust? No. Of course not. Why would you want to?

No one. But I may have bad taste.

My friend Chad. I picked up alot of what I now really like from him.
When I was right out of High School, all I listened to was Heavy Metal and Classic Rock. My taste in movies was very average, and I had stopped reading comics and playing video games when I was a kid, outgrew them.
After hangong around him, I picked up on how cool comics were again, anime, video games. Started watching alot of Foriegn and Classic films, listening to The Smiths, The Cure, New Order ect.
Anything he really liked, I found I really liked. And after awhile, when my taste in media developed the reverse was true - anything I really liked, he picked up.
Wierd knowing someone who's taste is so identical.
Ehhh..
From here, I'd say Fourthman's got good taste in movies and I respect his opinions on them.

There are several people here, and a few other non-board friends whose taste I trust. AAl and I agree about 85-90% of comics/movies/books.

There are people who's taste I would mostly agree with but there are still fundamental differences. Wow, that was insightful in a completely uninsightful kind of way.

Yes. There are two guys that I trust their opinions on stuff and I very rarely don't like something they suggest.
My friend Nick on movies & music and TonyFleecs on comics.

I like to hear other people's opinions. I'm more interested in consensus than anything else.
