Nope. Next week's is "Fallout" dealing with the aftermath of last week's episode. Then they go on hiatus for the holidays with like every other show IIRC.

I think the point is that it doesn't matter, she was dead no matter what.
But I have no idea. Ando's comments were unclear, maybe in his time line he thinks Hiro went back in time to save her from the Brain Anuerysm and we will find out that Hiro saved her from Sylar but could not actually save her from death...

That's the implication. I think Sylar's gift is seeing things that are broken and "fixing" them. Like knowing the professor's watch was off. I'd like to know what the hell he did. I don't really think he ate the dude's brain. Or did he? How does he leech people's powers? What does he do/take from their brains? And great. Fall Finale next week. Got to hold out till 2007!!!! FUCK!

Sylar at this point should have:
TK, incredible learning and memory, and the ability to freeze stuff.
Any other victims whose powers we know about?

the only thing i didn't follow in this episode is hiro's powers...
so he is fine freezing time but he's still having trouble transporting back and forth?
when he jumped to present day japan (when the employees were doing calisthenics on the roof) did he then teleport to somewhere in texas and take a bus to odessa because his teleportation powers are still not so hot? how did he even end up teleporting if he was having so much trouble while on that roof in japan? i'm just a little confused with how they are presenting hiro's powers.

Think there was a reason he went to kill that little girl that was under protective custody, other than she might have seen him?

There is a greater power behind his power that sets limitations on what he can do. This power sent him to Japan so he could not change the past. Or at least not one aspect of the past. GOds and what not are fickle.

I think he does have limits.Maybe he just burned himself up a bit. He did so much stuff to prove to Charlie he's a paranormal. So maybe Hiro needs to rest up. Makes sense. So we know he has limits. Now he has to rest up and charge. As for his block. I think something is blocking him. He couldn't stop Jessica from massacring those poker players. Something/Someone is stopping him. Maybe himself. Hmmmmm......
So who do yall think Buys it in the Fall Finale? Can't be Peter or Hiro. They are sure to live. So that means the cop, Nathan, Claire, Issac, Nikki/Jessica, and her baby daddy are up for grabs. Fall Finale is gonna be GREAT!

that doesn't fit the rest of the themes and story though... at least not what's been presented so far. evolution does not involve god, or any sort of greater power. the whole point is that science/evolution have facts to back them up, while god is make believe.

My idea is this: The human brain as we know it is "broken", ie. we only use a small percentage of it, and if we were to "fix" certain parts of it, we could develop special abilities and powers. Sylar is able to take a special person's brain, see the part that gives them their ability, and then fix that part of his own brain therefore giving him that ability.

Given all the attention paid to him doing just that with the watches you might be on to something there. I used to think he could eat their brains and absorb their power but that sounds stupid compared to what you're saying. I'm leaning towards this.

I was starting to theorize along those lines. Maybe his ability to fix things isn't just limited to watches. Maybe he can shift his own organs/dna to "fix" it. Which would explain why he's slicing off people's skull caps. To look at their brains and see how they are and than rearange his own brain to fit the patterns.

His power STOPPED him from saving Charlie. Thats the point. It didn't disappear after he failed to save her, it actively prevented him from saving her by sending him tooo Japan and not letting him get back...
I don't know if it's his actual power, per se, or just the nature of how time travel works in the Heroes universe, but it's clear that while he can go back in time it appears that he also can't do anything that would change the present/future. Does this mean that New York is doomed to be nuked then?

I thought it was obvious. What else could he be doing with them, Ebay?
The argument earlier was that Sylar only had telekinesis and no other powers, while folks like myself (and you, too, apparently) figured that Sylar was killing people to take their brains and gain new powers.
I really really doubt he's eating them. A lot of people here seriously think that? I thought that was a joke.
Doesn't matter much, really. He takes super-people's brains and gains their powers from them somehow. That's what we were all getting at. The eating or studying brains part really isn't important, just that Sylar has multiple super abilities.

It's likely that Hiro can't change the past himself, but has to act through others.

All of the Sylar stuff has me thinking that the whole "Save the cheerleader, save the world" has less to do with keeping Claire alive than it does with preventing Sylar from gaining her regenerative abilities.
The guy's nearly unstoppable now...can you imagine if he was unable to die?!?

Yep, that's been my theory ever since they showed the crime scenes of his killings.

I don't understand why Sylar was able to walk away from the fight with Peter unbroken, but Peter wasn't. Shouldn't he have had all Sylar's abilities?

Although he may have had Sylar's TK to cushion the fall, he probably didn't know it or know how to use it.

I am guessing Sylar used some last minute force field. As for Peter, he probably doesn't know how to use other ppl's stuff as he gets it. He could heal since that is something he can't really controll. But a force field he would have to make that happen.
I would guess as he learns other ppl's powers and their limits, he could call on them as he gets them.

As others have said, using TK is active and Peter probably didn't have time to figure it out.
Another possibility is that, however Sylar is using the stolen powers isn't somethign that Peter can copy. Maybe all he's got is Sylar's understanding of broken/fixing things.

that doesn't fit the rest of the themes and story though... at least not what's been presented so far. evolution does not involve god, or any sort of greater power. the whole point is that science/evolution have facts to back them up, while god is make believe.
The way that everybody's paths keep intersecting, it stretches credulity that there isn't some greater plan/force/whatever at work.

I assumed Sylar had some sort of enhanced durability based on his getting shot a bunch of times and getting up from it. I guess the consensus is that Sylar took the shots because of some sort of force field, TK, or other "active" power?
I just want to know if he eats grey matter or not - that's all I need to know.
The rest I can figure out or don't care about.

He also recovered from multiple gunshot wounds within a matter of seconds, jumped really high and climbed a wall.
As for the rest of tonight's ep, the scene where Charley told Hiro she was dying made me tear up a little bit, that was so sad. Apparently Parkman's wife cheating on him happened during the six months, since she was thoroughly in love with him tonight, "you're my hero" and all. Also, did anyone else do a double-take when it first showed Sylar thinking it was Brandon Routh? It kinda looked like him, especially with the glasses.

I thought that he landed on Peter and that Peter had absorbed the brunt of the fall. He did limp away afterwards so I don't think that Sylar is invulnerable or anything like that. It'll be interesting to see what it was he did when it looked like he got shot all those times earlier.

Looks like Peter keeps the powers for a while as well considering how he had visions in his sleep after meeting Isaac. It might be that he'll exhibit some of Sylar's abilities in the next episode. Perhaps that's how he'll get out of jail/HRG's clutches.

Last nights episode was awesome.
I don't want to ever see "Future Hiro". \
Nerdy Hiro is too good. And yeah, its pretty obvious that some outside force is involved. Too many wierd coincidences. Its a big world. I mean what are the chances that things like Matt pulling over Eden are going to occur without intervention?
I was under the impression however, that Charlie wound up dying from the tumor instead of Sylar. That Hiro couldn't change her dying, but he was able to change HOW it happened. That basically, she was "fated" to die regardless.
I also think that its most likely that Sylar doesn't physically "eat" other peoples brains. His power is "to know how things work" and once he examines a persons brain, he knows how to duplicate their abilities. Once he meets the TK guy he basically says as much when he makes the remark about "I see it now, it is in the brain."
And I always liked Nikki, but I think after tonight, she got a whole lot more interesting.

I thought this might be the case at first, but in the epilogue of the episode they bshow Charlie dying again with blood and all while Mohinder is ays "the past is set in stone" or some such, so now I'm not so sure...

My wife made that comment and shes not that much of a comic/superhero fan.
I caught the Routh thing as well...I almost wonder if it was intentional, put a spin on the mythos by making the villain have the appearance of the most identifiable superhero.

Isaac kind of bores me. And we have actually seen him dead on Hiros trip to the future.
I'm wondering if Jessica is simply an alternate personality, and if Nikki has simply repressed those memories and and lets them come to the surface as Jessica, or if its something more sinister like some kind of possession.

Yeah, Isaac can go to...
I am still wondering about Jessica as well. Maybe I could understand her better if she had acid face or something. I still don't know what to make out of her. I do know she is a biatch though. Her husband seems to be a real decent guy, esp if you read the online comic. She set him up to take the fall for nothing that i can see so far.

I thought it said "A Hero will Fall". Either way it could easily not mean death. Although I think it does.
The title of the episode is Fallout...double meaning perhaps? Like Fallout from the betrayal of one of their own (Nathan?) and the death of one of their own (Isaac?) but it also probably deals with nuclear fallout. My guess is Isaac will die as seen in Hiro's future trip in the pilot where we see a dead Isaac with his skull ripped open and the gun that Eden took from Mohindar's attacker next to his body. They show that gun in the preview too. I also think Nathan will turn even darker than he has been to this point.
Then there's the whole Sylar stealing the nuclear guy's powers when he busts out of jail and the team confronting him and trying to stop nuclear annhilation.

Possession goes a bit outside of the show's universe which is evolution this and that, as Mohinder insists on voice-overing at us each week.
I think she developped a multiple personality and simply named her Jessica for her sister.

Nikki has had the strength the whole time, just her other personality "Jessica" knows how to use it.
