Retro Girl Statue Flaws: Bowen Quality Control Issue?

Well, after waiting a very long time to get my Bowen Retro Girl Statue she finally arrived yesterday. Factory sealed with that new statue smell! Boy, is she a beaut! Until you look at the memorium plaque that is. It has this horrible flaw in it, and it looks like a toddler tried to "fix" it. I asked on the statueforums and was told this is common, and the seller I got it from said he'd received several complaints along these same lines. My question is, how can something like that can happen? I know Bowen produces a lot of statues, but on a run of only 500 for RG and considering the cost we pay to get these pieces of art, how can a big ol' mistake like that make it through? How can that be acceptable?

I checked out my Retro Girl and it doesn't have this flaw.

I do not work for Bowen Designs, but from my experience with this company they have a high standard of quality control for their products. They yanked the Punisher mini-bust because they were not happy with the production values. I would contact them regarding your problem.

I wonder if they created these in batches, maybe there was a bad batch or maybe this is the exception. Hope it works out for you.
