I played a ton of online multiplayer last night. I'm officially addicted to the online in this game. I had a full group of 8 going for awhile and when someone had to go, it was pretty easy to find a replacement. I did witness a few annoying glitches during multiplayer (mostly people being stuck in position) but they were few and far between. I can't wait to play later today.

The controls take like half an hour to master, but it helps if you know the layout of the maps, and there are so many of them, you might be learned for a good two hours.

Takes some getting used to, but once you do it's much better. The only thing I hate about the cover is if the wall or whatever is round, and I have problems staying behind it as I tend to edge around it without trying to.

any FPS experience helps. This game is more about cover then halo was. I would play the first Single player act and you will then be cool for multiplayer. Its very easy to pick up

I had a great time meeting/killing you guys also. I think I managed to kill Hobo 1 out of 20 times that he rushed me with the grenades (although I did get better at diving toward him to cause a suicide after being stuck). His gameplay forced me to race him to the grenades and then copycat his tactics. So, if I stick you with a grenade the next time we play, blame Hobo.

Is HALO training any useful?

It helps a little, but so does Perfect Dark training, and Ghost Recon training, etc.

Halo is a total run and gun game, in this one there is no jump, only the roll/cover button. About my second multiplayer game I realized I miss the jump, especially when you try and roll off a small cliff and instead you slowly step down, getting your head blown off in the process.

Even worse is when you try and roll off of a ledge and end up doing a sommersault in mid air. It's a rather ineffective manuever when running for your life.

I think one of the funniest moments I've had in the game is when I was spectating a teammate on the Tyro Station level and he tried to roll into the stairway in the middle of the traintracks but because of that little ledge, he didn't make it and was splattered.

this game really challanges you to play as a team and thats something i had to get used to, i avoided a lot of team based games because of this

Here's a strategy that some of you may not use. If you are behind cover and trading fire with someone, I recommend using blind fire to empty about half of your clip. Then, if you do a perfect reload, you will have half a clip of extra damage bullets for a short time. Use this opportunity to pop around his cover and take him down. If you hit him in the face with your shots, he should go down quickly without you getting hurt much.
