I'm hoping some people can point me in the direction of some good blogs about polotics on a national level. I am more interested in left leaning opinions, but if it's really good I am open to reading anything.

Any thoughts?

http://atrios.blogspot.com www.americablog.com and of course www.dailykos.com are the top blogs in the country politically speaking. Lefty commie blogs too.

The Hit and Run blog is a great and intelligent libertarian blog. It's witty, thoughtful, and make libertarian politics look good. I read it everyday. http://www.reason.com/blog

If you want actual balanced information good luck. Most of the political blogs I see are just sounding boards for either lefties or righties. Someone posts carefully selected news to demonize whoever the "enemy" is, and then lots of people who think alike sit around and agree with each other while crushing any opposing views. Most of it is just ideology porn.

Eschaton (Atrios' blog) I rather enjoy though. While he certainly posts a lot of partisan slant he's funny. He's smart too (an Econ prof) and knows his stuff on that subject. I read his blog more than most just becuause I agree with him on a lot of issues and he makes me laugh.
