I've never rocked facial hair in my life. Now I have a beard. My friends say I look like a douche bag. I need input. I'm 19, yet have just now started to experiment with the look. Pick here (yes I know the smile is hideous):

There's at least two pretty decent gay jokes here.

I think that it adds a few years, and not necessarily in a good way.

Some guys can rock facial hair, some cannot. Guess what side you fall on. :)

There's enough disturbing facial hair in the comics community. Why add to it?

The opposite of this.

I'm putting my foot down, and proclaiming that gay men Aren't allowed to have beards. You people already stole the mustache, and the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Todd, I hate to break it to you, but you do not have a beard. You have some sparse patches of hair on your face. Let me put it in an analogy:
Todd's "facial hair" :: Beard
as
Moped :: 1969 Camaro SS

Don't feel bad. I wasn't able to grow a decent one until I was 25.

Full beards don't work on young guys, it just looks like you're scruffy.

I'd suggest tightening it up to a van dyke, simple moustache, or goatee...

...then again, Taki's right, we need a closer shot to get a better idea how it looks.

personally, i think guys with beards are hot. Yours looks like it needs to be filled out more, but I think a bit of scruffiness is nice too, especially at 19...you don't need to look all professional and groomed and shit.

But what does the rather voluptous french maid standing next to you think?

Okay, I just got back from class. So, I don't know what a Van Dyke is.

I just wanted to take back facial hair for the gay man.

I kinda feel like my goatee/suedo beard makes me look like a child predator. I think I'm going to shave it.

The Van Dyke didn't just come into existence while you were in class... It's been around since at least the first half of the 17th Century.

Taken out of context. I said "so" as in "so I couldn't see your responses". I'm sure its been around a long time.
