Just curious what everyone's favorite Sax riff, solo, or tune might be.
The "Who Can It Be Now" riff and solo was one the first rock/pop tunes I ever learned.
Has anyone ever heard Maceo Parker's "Shake Everything You Got?"
I could go on, but I'd love to hear your favorites.

Yakity Sax.

(Maybe that's not serious enough, but it's true. I love that tune.)

"I Send A Message" by INXS. Really, just about any INXS tune with some Kirk Pengilly sax-playin'.

I hate Saxaphone music, and most music by brass instruments save the trumpet and the St. Louis Toodleoo.

"Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty.
I've always wanted to do a slammin' house version of that.

Come on the correct answer is 'Shotgun' from Jr Walker & the All Stars!
of course I'll also take Coltrane playing 'Afro-blue' pretty much anytime, anywhere.

I know the Foo Fighters covered it a while back, though it was neither house nor slammin'. :D

I think my favorite sax solo is on the original studio recording made by Maynard Ferguson's band of Mac Arthur Park.

I'm glad someone besides me said it.
His solo on "Urgent" is awesome, too, even though it was comped.
