Reed Richards' powers are elasticity, not super strength, right?

I bet it's both.

Now if Mr. Fantastic stretches across a basketball court & picks up a tool box, he should have to drag it across the court to bring it to him. Why? Because he doesn't have super strength.

His arm is like half a see saw, with his shoulder as the fulcrum. The closer the fulcrum is th the toolbox the lighter it becomes, the further away the heavier it becomes. But Reed never drags anything, so he must have super strength.

I imagine his body acting as a tightly stretched rubber band, and all that kinectic energy off snapping back to its home position might give him some extra power. But then, stretching his body alone would be a strenuous workout. Unless, of course, his elasticity comes from his molecules changing polarity, where one molecule would create a reverse magnetic charge than the adjacent ones. Then by reversing the polarity again his arm could snap back due to magnetic attraction. But this doesn't explain how he keeps his arm off the ground. Perhaps he sets the polarity of his suit (which also contains unstable molecules) opposite that of earth (similar to how Magneto flies).

Either you really know a lot about polarity, or you just pulled all of that out of your ass. Either way, bravo.

I'm full of shit. Simple as that.

Unstable Molecules. When it comes to the FF, thats my stock answer for every thing. It's all unstable molecules.

Does anyone have Internet Jesus's explanation from his Ultimate Fantastic Four run?
