Im in a bit of a bad mood.
the school i work at... wednesday we had our 3rd suicide of a student since the beginning of the year.
What makes it worse, it was second college prep kids.
Even worse?
I was helping the crisis team and I saw this kid's track record. I swear on my father's grave that I was looking at myself in some time warp mirror back when I was this kids age. Same age, same sports and clubs, same classes with the same teachers I had (give or take). I feel so bad for her parents and friends... no one knows why this kid did it.
Then one of the building admins made a comment to me that I nearly decked her for. I mentioned to her how dumbstruck that I was that this kid did this to herself. She went on to say that if she had to look at all the transcripts and pick out a kid who would kill themselves she would have picked my kid brother.
And she said it in such away that it took me a full second to realize what she was saying.
Im so glad i don't have to deal with her anymore. That was so out of line, even for her.
then i proceeded to tell her how well my little bro was doing (and in part, will admit i stretched the truth just a hair...)
Anyway, now im sitting at panera, working on some film homework waiting for one of my classmates to show up...
It's been such an emotionally draining week between that and one of staff members..who I don't know the entire story, but had a heart attack thursday and is now in a coma.
Some one make me laugh?
