Yeah, that sucks. One of my favorite books. Doesn't seem right that they cant keep it going simply because they are paying thecreators what they're worth. Someting is wrong with that paradigm. Maybe the company could be satisfied with a slightly lower profit margin, huh?

Comics seems an odd business model at every level. The most obvious example being the retailers, most of whom it would seem would rather buy one copy and sell it then buy twenty and sell nineteen. Like the lone copy still on the shelves will haunt their dreams.

Depends on profit margin, if you're only making 5 cents a book, selling 19 and having 1 left over = no profit, while ordering and selling 1 = 5 cents profit.

True. But if they're only making five cents a book...well they'd have to stock many different series and sell out of them all in order to be in buisness. Unless the monthlies were just loss leaders to get people into the store to buy something else. Either way the buisness model seems broken to me.
