Bristol Update
56 days to go!
thought this years was going to be dis-appointing compared to the absolutely brilliant time I had last year with ma boy Finch.
The panels were looking very uninteresting when first published. The latest update however looks to be quite good. It seems as
though JMS is planned to be on every panel

I've been doing a lot of staying in lately. Partly saving up far too much for this thing.
But the amount I went through in beer money blast time, I'm taking any chances.
I'm banking on about £3 a pint in the hotel this year.

There are some beers that are 5%. I's say the average is 4.5%. I'm sure we can find you something though.
I drink smooth bitter at 4%.
Belgium beer is ace. Sampled many and got fucked out my face on it one day. Worst case of drunkeness I've ever been involved with. And i started dancing in the middle of a local pub to no music. Ace stuff!!!

I won't be there this year... of all years!!! (aaaaarrrrrggghhhhh!)
try some of that Hoffmiester 13% stuff, that'll show the men from the er, yanks... or even some of that stuff they only sell in 1/2pints (max 2 drinks)
and if you're wanting something to line the stomach beforehand, cross the bridge at the waterfront, the one where that guy got stabbed one year, head up the side of the hotel, turn left, cross the road, then right for an old school italian (i-talian) restaurant where non of the waiters are under 50, pictures on the walls of celebs nobody under 70 will remember and lots of thumbs and fanguli (sp?) with the pasta!
take lots of pics so I can feel sick as a dog that some of my faves are there and I won't be (bugger).

I'm working on scripts that weekend and will be stopping by Motor City Comic Con for 2 days. I just couldn't justify leaving for an entire week due to my hectic schedule.
I now have someone taking care of my appearance schedule, so if I say I'm going to next year's show you can count on it 100%.

I'll be doing my fair share of saving. Just not this weekend though - bank holiday and all that. Got some all day sessions to do.
Then cut down till the wednesday before Bristol to put some training in.
And flying in?? It seems reasoonable if you're from Ireland, but Diana making a special trip from Germany for just the saturday. Almost takes some getting your head round.

I'm dis-appointed with the lack of alcohol talking in this incarnation and Taki hasn't joined in this time round either.
I've got to take some pics and have a few drinks for her at bristol.
Just phoned the hotel to confirm the booking and it's a good job I checked because it would have gone had I not "confirmed" the booking. Going to see about the Train tickets today.
:(
I'm sad I'm not going.
And not drinking with you.
Please do take down a bottle for me and capture the moment on your cam or vid cam.
Maybe then, I'll be :D

Very much looking forward to it. I sure hope I will make it...
We are preparing a play for the Monday or Tuesday after the con and I sure hope we won't need to rehearse on that weekend... Some people arriving late or not at all for rehearsals has put us behind on schedule.
I already told them there is no way I'm going to miss this but... :?

Diana, I know we talked about this before, but what do you think the best way from London to Bristol is? Train or Bus? I hate the bus.
Hi Mike, it'll take more or less the same amount of time to get to Bristol by train or bus so you're best off taking the train because the view is usually better and it will drop you off closer to the hotels.
Trains to Bristol leave from Paddington Station. You can get a direct train at www.virgintrains.co.uk (www.virgintrains.co.uk) which will cost something like £20 either way. The trip takes roughly 90 mins. to 2 hours.
If someone is interested, you can get a cheaper ticket with National Rail ( http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/)) but you'll have to do a change of trains.

Thanks Alice! I'll have my uncle with me, so the train sounds much better than the bus. I can take a train from Heathrow to Paddington if I remember correctly

No problem, look forward to seeing you guys there. If you've never seen Paddinton station it'll be a treat it's one of the old Victorian ones with an impressive steel canopy, I think it's lovely.
Heathrow to Paddington would be the Heathrow express ( www.heathrowexpress.com) (www.heathrowexpress.com)), give yourself plenty of time between trains, the airport trains don't normally get delayed but England is a joyous riot of engineering works lately.
