Music:
Scissor Sisters: Tah-Dah (two-disc version)
I like it so far, but I haven't listened to this enough yet because of
The Decemberists: The Crane Wife
Brilliant. I loved Picaresque, and I've heard longtime fans complain about the addition of more contemporary instrumentation (in the form of 60s-style organs), but I can't stop listening to it.

Books:
Drawing of the Three: Stephen King
I'd gotten through the first third and then given it a rest for a bit. Now I'm back. I like it. Book three's in easy reach, too, thanks to Taxman.
The Ode Less Traveled: Stephen Fry
Poetry primer for aspiring hobbyists. Fun stuff, and well written, with a good focus on language

Music:
Whatever soundtrack I get my hands on during writing hours. I've been listening to Battlestar Galactica Season 2 soundtrack a lot lately, as well as a smattering of Final Fantasy XII. Geek music for geek writing chores. When I'm not writing, I'm not listening to music because I'm usually listening to Howard Stern.

Books:
I was tearing through the Dark Tower and stalled out at the start of Book 3: The Wastelands. I still love it and I just haven't been reading due more to spending free time with games or new comics I've fallen behind on.

Games:
The DS is king at the moment. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Rocket Slime, Mario vs Donkey Kong 2, Cooking Mama -- it's gaming insanity.

Books:

Three Days Till Never by Tim Powers. It took longer to get into than most of his books, but last night...best chapter ever.

Games:

Saint's Row. I don't know that I'd enjoy it if I sat down and just played for hours and hours, but playing it a half hour to an hour at a time I'm having a great time.

Company of Heroes. Almost done with the campaign, but I'll have to get good at multiplayer just to crush Mark.

oh, right... Games.

I can't play much with my hand all becasted, but I can play some low-speed, low-reflex games:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Defcon (poorly)
Clubhouse Games
Rhythm Tengoku (GBA, not DS)
[Some unreleased titles]

We must play some Defcon. I was playing the demo constantly, bit the bullet and bought the damn thing and now... I never play it.

Books: Strangers by Dean Koontz and I might start re-reading The Stand tonight.

Music - Nothing specific. Mostly the usual stuff I listen to. Mark Knopfler, Fleetwood Mac, Leonard Cohen.

Games - Replaying the Metal Gear series and Silent Hill series.

I really liked the Stand. Have you read Robert MacCammon's Swan Song? It's basically the same thing with a more overt metaphysical angle. But I liked it. Granted, I read it before I read the full version of The Stand.

Nope. Haven't read it. Haven't even heard of it actually. I'll keep an eye out.

I loved The Stand -- right until the end. It felt like a cop out to me. But that was also... God... 16 years ago? I should give it another read. Especially now that I live only miles from the CDC labs featured in the book.

Books:
Last Call - Tim Powers
I really should be going through this book faster, but I keep forgetting to set aside time to read.

Games:
Okami (PS2)
What a totally sweet game. Outside of the voice synth, I've liked everything about it.
Star Fox Command (DS)
Been enjoying this so far, though I'm not too far into it yet. It'll get more play the next time I'm at an airport.

Music:
Amputechture - The Mars Volta
I can't get enough of this album. It might be even better than De-loused in the Comatorium. Tetragrammaton is just an insanely good track.
The Avalanche - Sufjan Stevens
Pretty good supplement to Come on Feel the Illinoise, but I can really do without a hundred remixes of Chicago.

Movies:
The Departed - saw this last weekend, I think it's Scorsese's best work since Goodfellas.
Hopefully I'll get around to seeing The Passion of Joan of Arc this weekend. Depends on how much time Scrubs, hockey, and Okami take away.

Music:
Really hard to be specific about this, what with the DJing and all. Sometimes I'm listening for pleasure, sometimes for work, sometimes for both. At this exact moment, I have a mashup of The Sisters of Mercy, The Beastie Boys, and Gwen Stefani called "Waiting For Lucretia's Party" playing. And that comes pretty close to summing what I've been listening to up, actually.

Books:
Just finished reading Hunters of Dune, the first half of the finishing of the Dune series. Not sure how I feel about it, it was an odd mix of crap and brilliant.

Also, just finished re-reading the Sandman series. Strangely enough, also an odd mix of crap and brilliant, with much less on the crap side of the ledger.

The stuff I'm reading currently (I tend to have several things I'm reading through at once, along with other magazines and comics. I'm probably more of a reading geek than anything, my reading for pleasure time is usually at least 2-3 hours everyday).

Re-reading Imagica, 'cuz Theresa just read it for the first time, and talking to her about it made me want to read it again.

Reading a collection of short sf stories I found in a box behind my work.

Reading Dracula, which I also found in the box, especially because it's one of those older books that I'd never actually read.

and re-reading "My Cousin, My Gastroenteroligist" my Mark Leyner. I always seem to need to have one book by Burroughs, or Leyner, or Ballard, or Finnegan's Wake or similar non-linear style going.

TV:
Battlestar Galactica, I'm really liking this season.

House, which I love the dialog in, but really don't care too much about the plot.

Bones, which isn't really all that good a show, but it's usually not too stupid, and is fairly funny. Plus, the characters are actually developing as it progresses.

Movies:
Just saw Little Miss Sunshine. Liked it a lot, the last 10 minutes of it or so had me laughing harder than I have in a theatre in a while.

Saw Beerfest. Was stupid and funny, but it needs to be watched in a friend's living room with a lot of beer on hand.

Games:
Just got a new video card, so I can finally play Oblivion, so I have been.

Plus re-playing Dungeon Siege, Carmageddon 3, Serious Sam 1, Civilization 4, and, lord help me, been playing some Dungeon Hack. Oh, and Anarchy Online, occasionally.

Music:
Rascal Flats, their latest CD is AWESOME. There is not one bad song in there. It doesn't have the theme for Cars that my daughter loves but I bought that one on iTunes so problem solved.

Magazines:
CADalyst
3D World
Computer Graphics World
Digit
Your ocasional bodybuilding magazine.
Honestly if I don't get it for free as a courtesy subscription like Computer Graphics World and CADalyst I won't buy it, news are a lot more fresh on the internet so why spend my money.

Books:
Waiting on Change your Genetics by Eric D. Marchewitz
plus researching on Patrick Arnold, the chemist behind the BALCO scandal and father of prohormones. Don't take steroids but I love to read about what is out there, specially the designer "legal" ones.

Sports:
Working out.

TV:
Smallville
Heroes

Games:
Too time consuming.

Comics:
Ms. Marvel (of course)
Civil War
Frontline
New Avengers
Anything Alan Davis, Kevin McGuire, Ariel Olivetti, McGuiness or Cho.
Anything Wonder Man; still waiting for the damn Bowen lame leisure suit minibust to arrive.

I don't know why, but I was sort of itching to go back to EVE the other day. Maybe it was the allure of having an MMO I could play while I was working.

Then I started an Orc Warrior on Dragonmaw instead.

And, yeah, we ought to try some Defcon.

Probably not. I expect my only travel next year will be Emerald City, with a chance for San Diego or Chicago, but probably not all three.

I'm reading Crooked by Brian M Wiprud. he's the author of Pipsqueak and Stuffed and called 'the funniest tough guy writer there is' by Lee Child. Harlan Coben is on the Wiprud love parade too. Start with Pipsqueak tho'. Each book is standalone but read better in the order published.
