Why you ask? Well it has Dan Slott in it! Oi! ;-)

I thought it was a HOOT!

And, yes, Bendis sent me a copy of the script-- so it got my happy Slott-ish seal of approval.

But, on the flipside...

D@MN IT!

...you know the saying "the camera always adds ten pounds"?

Well, Mark Bagley's pencils SUBTRACT a good 30 to 40 pounds...

...for everyone BUT ME! Emphasis on the "but"... or "butt" as the case may be.

I mean seriously! Yes, I TOTALLY look like that in real life. But EVERYBODY else came off looking like... well... they NEVER looked so good! :)

I don't know-- maybe they slipped Bagley a $20 or something. Maybe that was the deal. ;) But, I swear to God, I am the ONLY person in that story who's drawn at the right size, scale, and height.

Except maybe for Andy Schmidt. He looks right too. But he's tall and of a fairly normal girth... so... foo!

:)

Side note:
You can also find me "existing" in a comic book world (back when I had hair) 13 years ago in NEW WARRIORS ANNUAL #3 (check out the back-up story).

And you can see how I looked 8 years ago (when an artist was nice enough to DRAW me with hair) in this year's BIG MAX #1.

And-- you can see how I looked in the REAL world-- or at least Marvel's version of it-- in an oooooold MARVEL AGE comic (the Marvel produced fan/news comic of the early 90's) when they did an article showing me giving the Marvel Tour. I think there's a cover feature about Anne Noccenti's run of DAREDEVEL... But I can't be sure.

ttyl
Dan

(P.S. Isn't it cool? In the Marvel U., I've hung out with the Impossible Man! Funky! Thanks, Mr. Bendis!)
