What were/are some of your favorite Disney flicks?
For me, Jungle Book, Sword in the Stone, and Robin Hood were favorites that were replayed over and over.
We just bought The Little Mermaid, and there was an ad for a Plat Ed. Jungle book in Oct 07. I am ready for that bad boy. I also noticed a new edition of Robin Hood is coming out this month. I never bought either on dvd since they were super bare bones with only 2.1 audio. I am a happy camper now that they are coming out.

Sleeping Beauty. Love the art style, love Malificent.
If we include the Pixars stuff, then those make my list.
The Witch Mountain movies.

Cars, the Incredibles, and the Toy Story movies are all amazing, but by far my favorites are the 90's heroic epics. Aladdin, The Lion King, Hercules, and Mulan are all amazing works of filmmaking, and The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast aren't far behind.
In live-action, there can only be one. Motherfucking Jack Sparrow.

I think they have a new Fox and the Hound version coming out today. I am not sure if it has better audio or what is going on there.
I love Toy Story as well. That is one of my all time favorite movies ever. What kid doesn't imagine their toys coming to life. I loved that damn movie.

All of those lame sequals can suck it! The only one that was any good from back in the day was Aladin. Another one from recent times would be Toy Story 2. I like that one as much as the first. I need to bust out my Toy Story Toy Box dvds!

Pretty much just the Pixar movies.
Although Iron Will and Cool Runnings hold fond memories.

The Lion King
Gus the kicking mule was another favorite. That Tim Conway is the living end!
Oh, and Condorman. And the Rocketeer. Both awesome superhero movies that we never got sequels to.

Love the PIXAR films, especially the Incredibles, Toy Story series, and Finding Nemo.
My favorite old Disney film is probably Robin Hood. Warped my impressions of the myth/ "real" story.

Toy Story 2 may be the best kids movie of all time. It's absolutely perfect.
Other faves are 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, Aristocats -- Disney had a very nice run of animated movies in the 60s and early 70s.
I always liked the 70s live action films like The Computer that Wore Tennis Shoes, World's Greatest Athlete, and The Million Dollar Duck. Then again, I was 8 years old. They may seem really lame now, but I don't even know if they are available on DVD anymore.
When I was really little I saw Song of the South in a theater. I think that movie is dead and buried now.

My favorites:
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Mary Poppins
We currently own most Disney DVDs. I started buying them when my first daughter was born. Ironically, we don't watch very much television. I do pull them out on the weekends and we watch a movie.
Last weekend we bought the Little Mermaid. I have an old DVD of the Little Mermaid. I don't think I will purchase any more old Disney DVDs. New stuff like "Cars" will most likely be purchased.
I did not purchase Home on the Range or Chicken Little for the same reason I did not purchase Oliver and Co. I did not consider them "classics". I also don't purchase the part 2s or part 3s. I only like the originals.

For the record, I think that Rescuers Down Under is tons better than the original. (Even with the lame ecological message.)
My favorite Disney movies? Well, all the Pixar movies, first of all. (If they count.)
The Absent Minded Professor
Alice In Wonderland
The Emperor's New Groove
Aladdin
The Great Mouse Detective
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (mostly just for the Sleepy Hollow half, but Wind in the Willows is no slouch.)
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Pirates of the Carribean
Fantasia for the Night on Bald Mountain sequence
Atlantis (Eff the haters. I love the animation and the Mignola design.)
Hercules is definitely underrated
The Rocketeer
That's what I can think of off the top of my head.
I also saw Song of the South during it's final theatrical run. Going on Splash Mountain made me want to see it again.

I almost forgot Lilo and Stitch! Great movie.
The TV commercials they would show for it with the movies from the 90's especially where Stitch steals Jasmine away from Aladdin always makes me laugh.

Especially Aladdin's dejected reading of, "Hey, get your own movie."
Bambi. The backgrounds are pure art, the story is gut-wrenching, the animation is some of Disney's most naturalistic, and with long sections completely devoid of dialouge it feels almost like an art film.

I like the Rescuers Down Under as well. I was talking about the sequels that disney started popping up within the last 3-4 years of stuff from a long time ago. i.e. 102 Dalmations, Little Mermaid 2, Bambi 2, etc.
