Don't know about best song ever. It did, however, result in one of the best Belushi bits ever.

Absolutely agreed.

The best cover song ever is a neck-and-neck tie between Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" and the Who covering "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting."

The best cover ever is Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah.'

What about Aretha's cover of "Respect" or Soft Cell's cover of "Tainted Love". Both have eclipsed the original versions in popularity.

I saw a live version of this a long time ago that Tina Turner sang backgrounds on.

Who originally sang "Respect?"

I was looking for it on YouTube to no avail so far. It was great. I think she provided backgrounds on the original track.

Otis??! Really? Its hard imagining the song without Aretha's voice behind it, but its even harder imagining Otis growling his way through it.

More respect to Otis though. What a great song
