Unfortunately, the picture was printed in the gossip section of my newspaper a few days ago.....unless they'd photoshopped that picture to make it look more normal? :mistrust:

No, the flash is just mounted high enough above the camera that it makes the shadows appear lower than they should. Normally a photographer would use some sort of light diffuser and shoot the flash upward to avoid things like this. Either they were trying to make the shot look bad, or didn't have time to adjust their flash, or didn't know what they were doing.

Also, the shot appears to have been taken from about Cruise's shoulder height, so since Holmes is in front (and wearing heels), she appears even bigger. Both of these are more evident in this shot (http://www.justjared.com/pictures/photos.php?yr=2006&mon=09&evt=katie_holmes_wedding_gown&pic=katie-holmes-wedding-gown-01.jpg).
