Anyone know of any sites that I can get free ringtones? I mean a site(s) that don't have hidden charges or anything like that. I really want to get some good ringtones in my new phone. Thx.

i think sprint has their system rigged so the only place you can get ringtones is through their website - & you have to pay

Really? That sucks.
Anyway, now I'm trying to figure out how to get images for my contacts via the web.

They send you a text and it downloads to your phone. No charges as far as I've seen. My phone only takes certain files though, so you may have to experiment. Got some pretty cool 24 ringtones from there.

What kind of phone do you have, Shannon? I have the Samsung a900 with Sprint and it came with a USB cable. So you can just cut your own MP3 and move them over to the phone.

Yeah? I have the new Sanyo Katana. Really, I consider myself not out of touch with tech, but since I haven't gotten a new phone in over 2 1/2 years, I'm a bit out of it I guess.

That's the one I use. I put Slide Away by Oasis on my phone using it and it sounds a million times better than the Live Forever ringtone I had to pay $1.99 for from Verizon.

Do they have a pretty wide variety?

The site or Verizon?
If you're talking about the site, you make the ringtone yourself by uploading an MP3 and choosing what part you want to use. So you can have any ringtone you want on your phone as long as you have the MP3. And its free which is the best part :)

That sucks. What kind of phone do you have? I'll keep an eye out for similar sites and maybe yours will be on there.
