Hardball for Dummies

This week MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews got their McCarthys mixed up during a prepared video on McCarthyism. While the voiceover was talking about McCarthyism, video of GENE McCarthy was shown.
Gene McCarthy on MSNBC
Apparently, a photo of Jenny McCarthy was not readily available.
Even though Matthews corrected the mistaken identity, he didn't correct his mistaken history lesson. As Ann Coulter wrote in Treason, "[T]o appreciate how the myth of 'McCarthyism' was concocted, consider how liberals portray events happening right before our eyes... People who assure us McCarthy presided over a reign of terror also describe Ken Starr's plodding, meticulous investigation as a reign of terror. And they say that when we’re watching. Imagine what they’ll say when the generation that knows the truth is gone."

"The myth of McCathyism," right, McCarthy was a hero; he was exposing all those threats from traitors like Lucille Ball.
That reminds me; I've had the Good Night, and Good Luck DVD for a couple of months and haven't watched it yet...

I really liked it. I don't know if it is for everyone. If you like history, then you will probably enjoy it.
I just rented Syriana. Gonna watch that tomorrow.

You’re beautiful more beautiful than me
You’re honorable more honorable than me
Loyal to the Bank of America
It’s a sign of the times
It’s a sign of the times
You’re sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Vested interest united ties, landed gentry rationalize
Look who bought the myth, by jingo, buy America
It’s a sign of the times
It’s a sign of the times
You’re sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Enemy sighted, enemy met, I’m addressing the realpolitik
Look who bought the myth, by jingo, buy America
"Let us not assassinate this man further Senator,
You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir?
At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"
You’re sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Enemy sighted, enemy met, I’m addressing the realpolitik
You’ve seen start and you’ve seen quit
(I’m addressing the table of content)
I always thought of you as quick
Exhuming McCarthy

What a totally retarded song. Or poem. Someone must have filled an entire margin of their notebook during Algebra.

It could be REM. They love their silly sloganeering and shilling for PETA.

Yep, it's REM, circa 1988 or so, from the Document album; I wore it out at the time. I cracked up at your reaction to it though; you may be a right winger, but you're funny...
