A mass improv troop in NYC gets 225 people together to raid a Home Depot. They synchronize their watches, and at a specified time, all start moving in slow motion. Then at another specified time, they all froze completely still for 5 minutes. Watch the other shoppers & Home Depot employees all freak out & think they're going crazy.

Probably one of the funniest things i've seen on the internet.

It's funny and all but I suspect that if I were at that Home Depot, it would annoy the shit out of me

I can't tell which of the people in the picture are involved or not :(The losers that think that "normal people" lead such boring lives that they need dorks like them to spice things up are the ones involved.

This was much funnier than the Best Buy thing they did where they all dressed up in light blue shirts and khakis.

Ben, your distaste for about every damn thing here on this board is quite tiresome.

You are becoming a bore my friend.

AJToo bad I don't only express distaste for things. Believe what you want, though.

I think it's neat. I don't think they're trying to state anything, but having fun.

Trivia: This Home Depot is where the former Hasbro showroom in Manhattan used to be.

I think it's neat. I don't think they're trying to state anything, but having fun.Listen to their segment on This American Life. One of the guys that started it thinks he's giving normal people "great stories" that they can tell people because their lives are so horrible and bland.

he said that?

well I still think I'd want to do it if I was asked just because it sounds like fun.

But it's true. I can guarantee that most people will go home and tell their friends or family about the funny thing that happened at Home Depot.

I'm paraphrasing, of course... I found what he said to be extremely condescending.I have to concur. I heard the episode in question, too, and the condescension was pretty rank, even though I don't think the guy realized how he was coming across.

Still, I've enjoyed some of their stunts, especially when they had Anton Chekhov give a live reading of one of his stories at the Union Square Barnes & Noble (http://www.improveverywhere.com/mission_view.php?mission_id=38). It's pretty funny.

I've got to say I really appreciated the serendipitous fact that Jewel's "Standing Still" came on over the Home Depot PA system during the frozen phase of the mission. That's delightful.
