I know this board is mainly used by Americans, and world wide so I was wondering what you opinion are of our soon to be departing Leader of the UK (Prime Minster) Tony Blair?

He's a great moderate politician. When you're pissing off extremists on both sides, you know you're doing something right.

You seem to elect superior leaders over there. People who speak in complete and logical sentences and who have some flexibility in their thinking.

He hitched his wagon to W and his fucked up bullshit war. He's going down with the ship.
Good riddence.

He's better than any of the next lot. Nice to see Labour have decided to self destruct over him though.

We dont really have much of an opinion of him. I dont think that many people like him. He's kinda like Bush, when he talks we laugh.

A good man who always meant the best for his country, but admittedly made a few mistakes during his decade in power.

NickT is right though. Anybody who has a problem with him, just wait until you see what happens next. It's not going to be pretty.

I never thought he's survive this long. I thought the Iraq would have seen him out of office long ago.

I give Blair a thousand times more credit than Bush because the man can actually defend his positions on things in a civil and intelligent debate. At the same time, though, those qualities should've kept him from making the massive errors he did.

I'd say that, at best, he's a very smart politician who made the disastrous mistake of siding with Bush.
