It's awfully quiet on the reviews front for the Baltimore Con.

How did everyone's show go? Pics?

Most of the threads seem to die quick, which is what happens every year. It's not that big of a show, and we didn't have an over abundance of board members like you see at some of the other cons.

I just got home last night...

I freaking LOVED it! I got more stuff signed... more sketches.. more personal contact with creators etc than I did in Chicago! It was a FANTASTIC con! Just an amazing show from start to finish... throw in the retailer summit afterwards and you've got a show I dont plan on missing ever again!

I had a great time at the con. I got to chat with David Lloyd and Dan Slott.

I got Cross Bronx from Mike and Ivan.

Owly Vol. 3 from Andy Runton.

Then I went to the Yankees/Orioles game.

And ended the day by eating icecream.

I'd say it was a pretty fantastic weekend.

This show is the best kept secret in comics. Names and big as Chicago, but without all the crappyness and your right in the center of the city/harbor area.

Also, I finally cut the hair after the show:)

I couldn't agree more. I've only gone the past two years, but it has been great, and I plan on going every year.

I was diggin' on the long hair, but it's still niec to see Oeming back to "normal." :)

This show is shitloads of fun. I wish we could talk more board members into making the trip, because Baltimore has a much more intimate feel than some of the bigger shows. I don't mean that in a dirty way!

Even sadder that I wasn't able to go this year. I enjoyed this show last year, and like Mike said, it's the best kept secret in comics. Because it's ALL about comics. I'll be there next year, for sure...

I was hoping to have gone to the show, but it just wasn't possible. I was bummed out because Jimmy Gownley was supposed to be at the show and I LOVE his Amelia Rules! book.

He was so nice. We had some laughs because I was out of money, had to find jeffery and said I would be back. I came back and he lauged and said that no one really ever comes back. For more laughs jeffery was out of cash. I had to go across the street to find a working ATM to get cash and go back. Finally get back and get all 3 of his hardbacks!

I also had to give him a lesson in signing comics. I handed him a couple of my single issues and he opened to the first page and started to sign the top of the page with an ink pen! I screamed NNNNOoooooo! He laughed. He said he had no clue. No one has ever said anything to him before. So he found a sharpie for me and signed them all on the cover!

The next day, jeffery went back and got me a sketch!

I had an awesome time at the con. The vibe at this con is pure love for comics. I've felt nothing like it at a con before, it's really awesome. Everyone there was great.
I'm going to post some pics tonight or tommorrow as well as a report.

Nice story. I'd kill to get a sketch of his Amelia Louise McBride. The stories he writes leave me in stitches.

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. One of the highlights of the show was talking with Dan Slott about my love for Spider-Man Human Torch, She-Hulk, and Thing and his nefarious plans for Awesome Andy in She-Hulk. I warn you Dan slott, I shall personally rain hell down upon your books if you in any way harm Andy. Love me some Awesome Andy.
