Congratulations!

My advice? Just show your best work! :)

I'm sure it will be fantastic.
Since you know what the place is like and how unique it is, you can select work that will be pest presented in the unique format of that space.

Thommy, have you considered signing up at www.deviantart.com? Its a great place to network and meet other artists. I think you'd do quite well over there. Loving the MC Square pic.

Thank you Dawn and David...i really like shades of brown and gold at the moment. the little girl is my gfs best friend daughter, it's a present for her birthday.
when i did the original one it kinda reminded me of kabuki vol1 alchemy when she pases a train with a little girl waving.

it makes me think of that scene in wakeing life when 2 people cross paths and they make an effort to actually talk to talk and accept the conflict of their souls.
recently i have been doing that on occation. sometimes you can tell someone wants the chat when waiting for a bus or train. so actualy i starting to hide less in my headphones... and one thing i have noticed is old people are really funny and not that old at all.

here is a quote from that scene

Hey. Could we do that again? I know we haven't met, but I don't want to be an ant. You know? I mean, it's like we go through life with our antennas bouncing off one another, continously on ant autopilot, with nothing really human required of us. Stop. Go. Walk here. Drive there. All action basically for survival. All communication simply to keep this ant colony buzzing along in an efficient, polite manner. "Here's your change." "Paper or plastic?' "Credit or debit?" "You want ketchup with that?" I don't want a straw. I want real human moments. I want to see you. I want you to see me. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to be ant, you know?

You deserve lots of praise for them.

Well, I am, kind of an artist... I guess I've just given up on showing my artwork to people, so I generally wouldn't refer to myself as an artist like I used to. I've drawn two full comics that everyone said were great except the art, so I'm more of a writer these days. I still draw for fun.

I find it so hard to find artists, though.

Do i remember you?
your in my mind whenever i turn around
i sense you
i loose sense of myself
i reach for you but you cant hold me with those hands of yours.
you are my darkness
only when this is over will this all be fair
days drift by
me a slave to the sun
you to the moon
your silence is reckless
you haunt me and i welcome it
your my motivation, a purple dream.
chase me. catch me,
i have taken you to this empty place to bring you out.
since i lost you my mind has never been silent
chase me , catch me, take me
your silence is reckless

Hi David and all,
I Found 2 letters of mine to you within Alchemy and it's really nice of you.
I found this forum page that you set up for me some time last year and felt like updating it with some images from my current projects ands such.

But what’s more interesting is reading the Alchemy in hardback. Today at work 'good Friday' I have been sitting on my own reading it, which makes a great Friday.

Some of my friends have shown allot of interest Like "this is art, are you sure its a comic book" and "that’s neat". On Wednesday I have an interview for a new job, which means coming out of my comfort zone into the twilight zone of a new challenge. And low and behold our good friend Akemi happens to be my coffee table book the day I get a call for an interview.

Please enjoy my art and visit my site and next time I will tell you about my wonderful trip to China or even my recent grading in sword school. How about a Free Graphic novel me and Andrew Slater are working on.

All the best
