Did he think it would have been better if it had been Steel, too?

The point of this thread wasn't Superman Returns, it was the podcast.
Wasn't it?

He writes some pretty intense action scenes. I can see why he was dissapointed. BIG UPS!

Yeah...I can't stand the FBR sycophants so I avoid their show/site, but I'm interested in what Millar had to say.

He didn't say he hated it. He said he left feeling "eh." Your hyperbole drive is always malfunctioning.

Indeed. Yet another weird example of ds9 scraping together any quote he can get his hands on that he feels somehow "proves" his usually incorrect views. :D

I like Civil War. A lot.Cool if a lot of people are entertained by it...but I'm not one of them.

And yet oddly enough that isn't enough to make me dislike it. Weird!

He didn't use the word "hate", but he made it abundantly clear he didn't like the film.

When he first saw it, he was "eh" about it and over time he started hating it. Nothing Super/exciting happened after the plane part, They shouldve made a new Supes and not pick-up from 20 yr.old movies and it looked like a very expensive Lois & Clark episode. Doesnt know where the 250 mill went and he hopes a new director/team takes over for the next one.

am I the only one who liked this movie? It was such a great sequel to the original Passion of the Christ.

It was basically the same criticisms others have had.
It was too long, too dull, Superman spying on Lois creeped him out a bit, the plot reused too much stuff from the first film..etc.
He did say he kinda liked the Superman having a kid idea a bit. Providing they actually go somewhere with it.
He didn't make any specific criticisms of the acting. He just said he didn't like the film overall and thought it could have been far, far better.

Didn't he go overboard praising it right when it was coming out? Or am I misremembering? Maybe he's no longer trying to get a job at DC at this point...
