Hey Steve,
I just read your opinion about the Civil War delay, and wanted to tell you three things:
1) Your work on Civil War is so unbelievable, keep it up.:D
2) Comic readers can be really strange people, so don't let it get you down, when they bash you on the web, they would never have the balls to tell you these things when they actually met you, so don't take them too seriously.;)
3) Don't fall in a hurry to finish the next issues, when all the issues are done people will be astonished by the beauty of your work.
Just had to say that, have a nice time!

Yep, I agree, take your time. Both the story and art have been phenomenal thus far, and I'd hate to see anything rushed. I'd much rather endure a bit of a wait and have a great finished product as opposed to something rushed.
Keep up the good work!

"bash you on the web"? I'm sure that was a "What really happened bit"on Family guy about Charlottes Web.
I've been in the twisted relationships and raised enough children that when some mouthbreather complains you're too slow or you're not trying or you're making it personal, that's cause to go slower, try less and single them out as the reason for your continued decleration into a complete "strike" to curb the unappreciativeness in the air that some apologies better be issued post wit.
Not that I would ever suggest such a course of action.

Here, here. Keep up the good work. Whatever McNiven drawn stuff comes out, I'll be lined up to buy it. One more month? That's nothing when you look at the final pages.

Seconded.
Steve, you are a master. In a short period of time, you've become one of my favorite artists ever.
There are a number of reasons this delay is of no concern, not the least of which is how Marvel generally and you specifically have handled yourselves, being honest and upfront with the fans. Being such a class act online reminds me how much I enjoyed meeting you at the NYCC this year.
Don't listen to the internet. Do what you need to to make this a true Steve McNiven Book and history will reward you.

I think the harsh commentary signals how much this book means to readers, casual fans, and the industry.
The first three issues alone have made me a fan of of your work Steve!
I don't care one bit about the reason for the delay, the delay itself, or what people think this means to the industry - I care about a great reading experience.
Your apology and humility were unecessary, but you're bigger person than most for taking ownership of this thing.
Thanks Steve!

I was a little cheesed off at the delay, but that's more because of the decisions of Marvel editorial than anything else. Your work on the series is mindblowing, and I absolutely can't wait to see more of it. Keep doing what you do best. :D

He's probably trying to get the latest issue of that little book he's working on done as soon as possible...

Marvel's been sticking to the revised schedule. There's no reason to believe that #7 won't come out for when it was resolicited.
