beginning artist?

I picked up Betty Edward's DRAWING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN... Good book if not a little too basic (I discovered I intuitively knew all the techniques and had used them whenever I felt like picking up the pencil. I always felt I was missing some important basic drawing skill, but only realized after finishing the book that I had lacked the patience to fully implement them!)

I've also heard good things about Nicolaides' THE NATURAL WAY TO DRAW.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Moe
p.s. I'm loving the Alchemy. Very inspiring stuff, and the art is so good, it's discouraging!
