"What's this? "Messianic Cult moves to Flatpoint"? Good God! I don't like the sound of that! What kind of maniac would attempt to control fresh young minds? Attention! Harken to my voice! An insidious cult is intent on controlling your actions. I command you to avoid it at all costs! That is all."

Classic.

It's the portrait he keeps of himself that sells the character.

I have yet to see the movie.

I would watch "The Mysterious and Sexy Adventures of Principal Onyx Blackman." if it were a TV show.

By the end of the series, he would be president, and have that stencil of him above burned onto the moon.

Jellineck and Colbert's teacher could have a spin-off, where they go on weekend hunting trips together. One episode, Colbert's character could get cold and join Jellineck in his tent and...

...it's a one time thing.

No, I don't think so, but I haven't watched the third season yet.

when you say haven't watched the third season yet... do you mean not since it was on tv more regularly, or ... ever?

I don't have Comedy Central so I didn't see it when it was on TV. A full 3-season DVD set came out recently, and after watching some episodes online I decided to buy it. There's three seasons, and I have just finished the second.

ah, yes.

the third season is good. i think that amy sedaris had the character completely down by then, even if the writing wasn't as great as the previous seasons.

Yeah, in the second episode she dissappeared into Jerri completely.
