So I watched the movie finally tonight -- based on the Ray B. short story. It was pretty bad. So, after, I checked mojo to see how much it cost and how much it made. Budget was 80 mil. It grossed around 2 mil. So I need to know, how do you go so wrong with 80 mil dollars? I mean, it looked like it was shot on home video. Christ, cut out that hour-long action sequence toward the end, buy some camera or film, keep the sci fi elements and you can at least have a respectable picture.

I am amazed at times that a film I am actually interested can flatline to the point where I never see it.

It did have that train-wreck "OH GOD I CAN'T LOOK AWAY" aspect going for it. I just couldn't wait to see what horrible green-screen special effect would fail to impress me next.

I would think this has to be one of the largest bombs of all time at 2 mil in gross.

I knew and like the premise from reading the original story. The trailers totally turned me off to the film. How can you not even be able to come up with a decent trailer?

Ben Kingsley had kick ass hair in this movie.

I'm just waiting to see what cinematic atrocity is going to earn the distinction of being the last movie Ben Kingsley does before his death.

Heh. What is up with him? He doesn't need the money that bad, does he? Bad agent? I don't get it.
